For the first week of my undergraduate course, Politics, Power and resistance, we are going to looking at the Black Panther Party’s understanding of politics as war. We are also going to be thinking about the epistemic questions arising from whose knowledge we foreground. The ethos and methodology for the course will also be introduced.
I am experimenting with Mentimeter to teach this semester for the first time. It provides the ability to introduce interactive elements like questions and polls more easily.
Students have been encouraged to get a Free 7-day trial subscription to Mubi and watch the class Agnes Varda documentary on the Black Panther Party.
